Katii at Reebok Spartan Race

This summer I had the opportunity of photographing the Reebok Spartan Race at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut for Hink Creations. This was an awesome experience for me because I was able to be active and creative, spending the day in the sunshine surrounded by athletes eager to be photographed and perform.

I had never been to a Spartan Race before and I can definitely say it was a totally new experience for me! Everyone was so happy and excited to participate in the race. There were families, teams of friends and co-workers and individuals that came from far and wide to race for a medal.

I was photographing the finish line, capturing that final moment of accomplishment and success that every participant experiences right when they cross the finish line and are handed a medal. I also photographed the sponsors of the race and the photo wall, which people lined up for with their medals in hand, eager to appear on the Spartan Race Facebook page for over four million fans to see.

It was a great and inspiring day... to see all those people accomplish their goals and push their limits physically and mentally was definitely motivating. I ended up with over 1,000 photos of raw emotion, action and fun. Definitely a day I will never forget!

New Intern!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Adam Sareen and I am proud to be Hink Creation’s new graphic design intern! This coming fall I will be a junior at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New York where I am majoring in graphic design and interactive design. The first 2-3 months before summer vacation are not only busy because of finals/portfolio reviews but they are also months of much anxiety to land the best internship I can.

When I came across Hink’s website and read about what they do I was instantly interested.  Not only does Hink offer design services but they also offer audio recording and production services! How cool! This was a place where my love for design side and my love for music side could be united. I knew this was a place I would love to work at (and I was right!).

I have only been working for about 2-3 weeks but already, Niki has exposed me to multiple client based projects and has also taught me some really valuable lessons that I would never have learned/or will learn in college. I have also seen where Ryan records and produces his clients’ music and it is quite the set up. I can’t wait to learn more, to work side by side with Niki and Ryan, and see how this summer unfolds with Hink Creations!

Until the next time!

In case you've forgotten, it was exactly one year ago today that we featured Renel Vital here on our Blog. Renel has accomplished an inspiring amount of tasks in the past year including the release of his debut album I'm Mr. Dax, worked with incredibly talented 3D Animator, Andrew Williamson of Lone Fort Games to create absolutely fantastic graphics, released two websites (pictured above) and has started a Facebook page and YouTube Channel!

Renel is never thrown by bumps in the road, he simply goes around them with endless creativity and comes out on the other side with twice the knowledge and excitement.

“A year later from the first blog interview, I recognize more of my potential in producing artistic projects. I plan on working with more artists to bring stories through several disciplines to the world.”
